PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a standing still/movement decision and a posture decision with high accuracy, in the behavior detection of an object. SOLUTION: A human body candidate area extracting means 20 extracts a human body area to be the object of behavior detection from an image. A top of head part image coordinate extracting means 30 extracts the image coordinates of the top of head part from the extracted human body area, and a coordinates transforming means 40 converts image coordinates into real world coordinates by using height data. A distance-calculating means 80 calculates the distance between the real world coordinates of the top of head part at one time and the past real world coordinates of the top of head part, before a prescribed time stored in a storing means 70 and decides whether the person is moving or standing still, by comparing the calculated distance with a prescribed threshold. |
