A sealing device for pump bearings is provided that is capable of securing a sufficient sealing performance despite the fact that an inexpensive sealing member having only a radial lip with no axial lip is used. The sealing device (8) comprises an annular sealing member (81) fixed on a shoulder (41a) in one axial end of the outer ring (41) of the water pump bearing, and an annular slinger (82) fixedly fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the pump shaft (1) as it is spaced from this sealing member (81) toward the one axial end to serve as an inner ring, the sealing member (81) having a sectional shape such that it is bent to extend along the disk portion (82a) and outer cylindrical portion (82c) of the slinger member (82), a labyrinth sealing portion (83) formed between the sealing member (81) and the disk portion (82a) and outer cylindrical portion (82c) of the slinger (82), the sealing member (81) having radial lips (81c, 81d) formed in the inner periphery thereof. |
