PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively increase a gradation number by adequately setting a concentration ratio of a recording agent when plural kinds of recording agents having different concentrations in similar colors are used to perform the recording. SOLUTION: Each item in a first concentration value arrangement wherein a plurality of kinds of recording agents are arranged from the one having a low concentration value is divided by a first item having a minimum concentration value to calculate a second concentration value arrangement. Each item in the second concentration value arrangement is converted in such a manner that a predetermined condition based on a maximum dot number whereby each recording agent can be recorded with respect to a minimum pixel unit is satisfied and then the concentration ratio of the recording agent is determined. The recording is executed such that the maximum dot numbers whereby each recording agent can be recorded with respect to the minimum pixel unit are roughly equalized with each other. |
