PURPOSE: A physical characteristic measured value processing apparatus and method in a mobile communication system are provided to reduce a load of a system by separating only a code of a physical characteristic measured value and transmitting it or mapping it with simple calculation according to characteristics and situations when a terminal or a base station transmits the physical characteristics measured value wirelessly. CONSTITUTION: A memory(110) installed in a terminal(100) stores a physical characteristics table storing a list on physical characteristics with a base station(200) and a mapping table storing each mapping method according to features of the physical characteristics measure values. A modem unit(120) installed in the terminal(100) measures various physical characteristics with the base station(200) and transmits the measured value to a controller(130). When the modem unit(120) receives a physical characteristics report message from the controller(130), it transmits the message to a control station(300) through a base station(200). The controller(130) installed in the terminal(100) receives a plurality of physical characteristics measured values from the modem unit(120), and at the same time, maps them with reference the mapping method of the mapping table, and then the controller(130) changes the mapped result value to a physical characteristics report message form by using the physical characteristics table and the mapping table and transmits it to the control station(300) through the modem unit(120).
