摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold unit for molding an optical disk capable of making a mold temperature around a product cavity uniform so as to enable improving of a dimensional accuracy of the disk. SOLUTION: The mold unit for molding the optical disk comprises a cavity block 15 and a core block 24 provided oppositely to the block 15. The product cavity is formed between the block 15 and the block 24. The blocks 15 and 24 respectively have temperature regulating channels 19 and 25 for distributing cooling liquids to the blocks 15 and 24. Distances from the surfaces 3A and 3B of the cavity to a communicating passage are formed long at the passage to lower the cooling capability per unit area of the cavity 4 by the channels 19 and 25. A heat conduction length is increased to lower the cooling capability, and hence the surface temperatures of the surfaces 3A and 3B of the cavity can be optimally regulated.
