PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for removing the human stratum corneum having a grip and a mounting zone for mounting an easily attachable and detachable functional element taking the form of a blade. SOLUTION: The stratum corneum removal instrument includes a grip 10, a functional element taking the form of a blade 14, and a mounting zone 12 adjacent to the grip 10. The instrument includes the grip 10, the functional element taking the form of the blade 14, and the mounting zone 12 adjacent to the grip 10, and the blade 14 is formed as one unit integrated with a support element 16 in order to achieve a fully safe operation in replacing the blade. The support element 16 can be fixed in position by frictional contact within the mounting zone 12 of the instrument.
