PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing capable of preventing fluid leak by equalizing the tension of an inner periphery lip and that of an outer periphery lip. SOLUTION: The packing comprising an annular packing body 1, the inner peripheral lip 2 and the outer peripheral lip 3 formed on the side face of the packing body 1 to axially protrude and radially spaced from each other, and a plurality of coupling ribs 4 formed on the packing body 1 and circumferentially spaced so that the inner surfaces of the inner peripheral lip 2 and the outer peripheral lip 3 are coupled, the coupling ribs 4 substantially tangentially extending in the same direction relative to the inside surface of the inner peripheral lip 2 and having the height not exceeding the outer end face of the inner and outer peripheral lips 2, 3 is characterized in that the circumferential width of each of the coupling ribs 4 is formed wider on the side of the outer peripheral lip 3 and narrow on the side of the inner peripheral lip 2. |
