PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a fluorescent substance for a light emitting diode which emits light having different wavelengths in the same composition when it is excited by a specified wavelength. SOLUTION: This fluorescent substance for a light emitting diode includes a fluorescent substance of a lanthanoid aluminate group kept active by manganese and comprises a green light emitting region and a red light emitting region according to the change in manganese content. A lanthanoid-aliminate-group fluorescent substance added manganese of the different manganese content produces green light emission and red light emission though it is composed of the same component.
