PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a polarization curve while a solution resistance is being corrected in real time. SOLUTION: In this method, the DC polarization curve of a sample 1 is measured by using the sample 1, a counter electrode 2 and a reference electrode 3. A potential and a current across the sample 1 and the reference electrode 3 are measured. After that, an AC voltage is superposed across the sample 1 and the counter electrode 2. An impedance across the sample 1 and the reference electrode 3 is measured. After that, the AC voltage is released. A solution resistance is found on the basis of the found impedance. While the solution resistance is corrected repeatedly with reference to the potential which is measured immediately before the AC voltage is measured, the DC polarization curve is measured. |
