PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demand-type versatile resin-polyiodide sterilizer (for e.g. water, air and wound). SOLUTION: This combination of a sterilizer and a substrate is one comprising a demand-type sterilizer component and a substrate component, wherein the demand-type sterilizer component contains particles of an iodized strongly basic anion exchange resin and the combination comprises supporting the particles of an iodized strongly basic anion exchange resin on the substrate component.
