PURPOSE: A device for controlling shift in a manual transmission is provided to conveniently prevent over stroke of a shift rail on an interlock plate and to reduce a producing cost by simplifying structure. CONSTITUTION: A shift controller for a manual transmission comprises a control shaft(2) rotating or reciprocating by controlling a shift lever; a control finger(4) inserted and combined to the control shaft; an interlock plate(6) protecting the control finger by being combined to the control shaft; a fixing groove inserting the control finger to control shift; first shift rug(12) mounted on a first-second stage shift rail(20); a second shift rug(14) installed on a third-fourth stage shift rail(22); a third shift rug(16) arranged on a fifth-back shift rail(24); a stopper(30) mounted on both sides of the interlock plate; and first and second stopper units protruded on both sides of the control finger. Thereby, the shift controller for the manual transmission conveniently prevents over stroke of the shift rail on the interlock plate. Moreover, the shift controller for the manual transmission reduces a producing cost by simplifying structure.
