A device suitable for supporting a component, such as a flat display screen, which device comprises a first arm (4), which can be connected to a wall (2) with a first end thereof, being pivotable about a first pivot axis (6), and which is connected to a first end of a second arm (10) with a second end thereof, being pivotable about a second pivot axis (8), which second arm (10) can be connected to the component (15) that is to be supported with a second end thereof, being pivotable about a third pivot axis (12). The device is furthermore provided with a third arm (5), which can be connected to the wall (2) with a first end, being pivotable about a fourth pivot axis(7), and which is connected to a first end of a fourth arm (11) with a second end, being pivotable about a fifth pivot axis (9), which fourth arm (11) can be connected to the component (15) to be supported with a second end, being pivotable about a sixth pivot axis. The third (5) and the fourth (11) arm are substantially in mirror symmetry with respect to the first (4) and the second (10) arm in practically any position of the arms. |
