PURPOSE: A clutch for an automatic transmission is provided to make oil flow smoothly between a clutch disk and a clutch plate by forming oil grooves in the clutch disk and the clutch plate and to improve the heat emission between the clutch disk and the clutch plate without the increase of the weight and layout of an automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION: A clutch includes a clutch disk(1) and a clutch plate(3). A disk oil groove(9) is formed in the clutch disk. To receive oil from an inner hub, the disk oil groove is formed on the inner face of the clutch disk. A plate oil groove(13) is formed in the clutch plate. The plate oil groove is formed on the outer face of the clutch plate and connected with the disk oil groove. When the clutch is operated by the oil-hydraulic pressure, the clutch disk rotates with the clutch plate. The disk oil groove and the plate oil groove emit the heat generated between the clutch disk and the clutch plate by supplying oil to the clutch disk and the clutch plate. Further, since the disk oil groove is connected with the plate oil groove, oil flows smoothly between the clutch disk and the clutch plate.
