PURPOSE: To provide an imaging device which occupies less space and has the reliability and the jam processing capability improved by preventing the device from being made large-sized and improving the operability of an operating part and a read part with respect to the image forming device, which is a disk top type and has double-face recording function. CONSTITUTION: A representative constitution of the imaging device has a sheet feed part arranged at the rear of a device body, an imaging part arranged in the center of the device body, a sheet ejection part arranged in the front of the device body, an operation part or an image read part arranged in the upper front part of the device body, an inverting means which inverts the carrying direction of a sheet where image has been recorded, and a re-feed carrying line which leads the inverted sheet to the imaging part. The inverting means is arranged below the operation part or the image read part, and the re-feed carrying line is arranged between the operation part or the imaging part and the sheet feed part and above the imaging part.
