PURPOSE: A system and a method for fabricating an optical pickup lenses are provided to cut the optical pickup lenses from an optical pickup lens injection using an automated lens cutting device, so as to reduce defects upon cutting. And the system and method are provided to make the lens cutting device and lens inserting jigs common. CONSTITUTION: In a lens cutting device(100), a mounting unit(140) in which an optical pickup lens injection(1) is inserted. An upper cutter unit(110) cuts optical pickup lenses from the optical pickup lens injection, with an upper cutter(119) ascending and descending by an upper cutter cylinder(116) and is heated by an electrothermal wire. A lower cutter unit(130) cuts the optical pickup lenses from the optical pickup lens injection, with a lower cutter ascending and descending by a lower cutter cylinder. Rotating units(150) installed on both sides of the upper cutter unit performs vacuum suction for the optical pickup lenses cut by the upper and lower cutters, to convey the optical pickup lenses. And lens inserting units(160) respectively installed on the front of the rotating units insert the optical pickup lenses conveyed by each rotating unit in lens inserting jigs(10).
