A dental floss and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to allow even a user who has a teeth pattern that a distance between the teeth is very narrow to use the product very conveniently without any trouble or pain, to prevent the distance between them from being widened, and to achieve an excellent washing force so as to improve a manufacturing process and a productivity. A dental floss(1) includes: a thin-film filament(10), formed in a thin-film tape shape through an extrusion of a molten material; a washing pattern(11), composed of many projections and depressions both of which are formed in a longitudinal direction of the thin-film filament and distanced from each other in a width direction of the thin-film filament; and an additive(20), made out of a material for improving a washing force, such as toothpaste, fluorine, salt, xylitol or sorbitol, and received respectively in the depressions of the washing pattern.
