PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective method with which uniform characteristics are obtained over the entire face and which is a new format post-script type DVD system provided with a semiconductor laser generating oscillation in a shorter wavelength regions, as compared to a conventional system, eliminating an unrecorded region in the area with newly added data like an Lpp(land prepit) method, being a superior method, free of data errors due to the fine control of cut width during manufacturing of a stamper or due to leakage of Lpp signals to the data area as compared to the land prepit method for a DVD-R. SOLUTION: The medium has a recording layer formed on a substrate and has a reflection layer, as necessary. The medium is obtained, by using a substrate which is molded by the stamper having 1,000 to 2,500 Å groove depth, 0.64 to 0.8 μm track pitch, and 0.18 to 0.4 μ halfwidth of the groove width, where the groove depth becomes deeper forward the outer periphery. |
