PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a DC/DC converter used for matching a voltage and a current of a fuel battery and a secondary battery, in a power supply unit in which the secondary battery assists the fuel battery, reducing fuel economy, because the DC/DC converter has an internal loss when connected to the fuel battery, and needs a large capacity for coping with a large power supply instantaneously, such as rapid acceleration times, when it is connected to the secondary battery. SOLUTION: A switch is provided which switches connecting locations of a plurality of batteries, such as the fuel battery and the secondary battery, which have different principles of power generation and characteristics, so that the batteries connected to a load through the DC/DC converter can be arbitrarily selected. After the power supply to the load is stopped, the changeover switch carries out a changeover of the connection locations of the batteries, to restart the power supply to the load.
