PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display photographic information on the photographing position, photographing orientation, etc., of a displayed picture on a map. SOLUTION: On a photographing side, a multi-encoding transmitter 4 multi- encodes the panoramic video and map information obtained by a camera position/orientation electronic measuring instrument 2 for obtaining the geographical position of a panoramic camera 1 and the orientation of the camera and map information generated by a map information generator 3 and transmits it as a single panoramic video signal. On the receiving and displaying side, a receiving/decoding/reproducing device 5 decodes it to a panoramic video signal, a photographic position/orientation signal and map video, a panorama video display device 8 is controlled with a photographic orientation operation signal outputted from an orientation selection operator 10 operated by an observer 7, and a photographing position/orientation map display device 9 displays the photographing position and the photographing orientation.
