PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce equipment by reducing the number of heaters and number of the power sources for the heaters. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of a color cathode-ray tube having a process of forming a metal back layer on a phosphor layer 3 on the inner wall of a panel 2 and a process of forming a heat absorption membrane on the metal back layer, the metal back layer and the heat absorption membrane are formed by heating at a time and evaporating in order the plural substances 7, 8 having different evaporation temperature by a single heater 5 that will bring about difference in arrival temperature according to part. Thereby, the number of heaters and the number of power sources of the heaters can be reduced, and the manufacturing cost of the color cathode-ray tube can be reduced and the equipment specifications such as the layout of the heaters can be simplified.
