PURPOSE: Provided is a string fastener including a single member and superior to a conventional one in fitness for clothes, a locking force to a string, miniaturization, and operability. CONSTITUTION: The string fastener(1) makes the end of a string, which is disposed in the clothes, etc., lock to an arbitrary position against a force in a direction to pull out the string. The string fastener(1) is structured by integrally forming an approximately flat plate-shaped base part(2) which is attached to the clothes, etc., a pair of vertical wall parts(3) with through holes(6) which are provided protrusively on the base part(2) with a prescribed space, and an elastic pressure piece part(4) for bringing about the vertical displacement and locking of the string which is provided protrusively between both vertical wall parts(3) on the base part(2) and inserted into the respective through holes(6).
