Pipe (1) of flexible material has, at least at one end, a permanently attached coupling device (2) that includes a clamping segment (7) that fits the outer and/or inner contours of (1), and overlaps (1) at least partly in the axial direction. The new feature is that (2) is at least partly made of thermoplastic polymer and is applied to the pipe by injection molding. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing (1).
