PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint without applying excessive bending stress to a bolt, even if a gap is generated in a fitting part of a key part of a bearing cup and a key groove of a yoke. SOLUTION: This universal joint provided with an outer race cup 2 for journaling a trunnion 3 of a cross shaft via a needle roller 4, the yoke 1 having the key groove 6 fitted into the key part 5 formed on the outer race cup 2 and a bolt 9 inserted into bolt insertion holes 7 formed at both side positions of the key part 5 of the outer race cup 2 and screwed into a screw hole 8 of the yoke 1 facing to both of the bolt insertion holes 7 and fixing the outer race cup 2 to the yoke 1 with the bolt 9 is characterized by forming a cylindrical hole part 10 having a diameter larger than that of the screw hole 8 in an opening part of the screw hole 8 and forming an end part of the bolt 9 by a cylindrical part 11 fitted into the cylindrical hole part 10 and a screw part 12 screwed into the screw hole 8.
