PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm system and method to a succeeding vehicle for an approach of an oncoming vehicle capable of securely preventing a collision with the oncoming vehicle even in a hard-to-confirm condition of the oncoming vehicle due to the existence of a vehicle stopping in front of the succeeding vehicle when the succeeding vehicles pass the vehicle stopping in a road in front of the succeeding vehicles. SOLUTION: This alarm system for approach of oncoming vehicle is provided with an oncoming vehicle detecting sensor 1 mounted on the front side of a route bus BU to detect the oncoming vehicle V2, an information processor device mounted on the route bus BU to analyze existence of the oncoming vehicle V2 on the basis of the signal related to the oncoming vehicle V2 detected by the sensor 1, and an information providing device 3 mounted on a rear side of the route bus BU to provide the oncoming vehicle information in the case that the oncoming vehicle V2 exists on the basis of a result of the analysis by the processor device 2 to a driver of the following vehicle V1 passing the route bus Bu.
