PURPOSE: An automatic tightening device of a turnbuckle is provided to shorten work time and to enhance work efficiency by allowing a turnbuckle for welding a roof panel to be automatically mounted by means of an air cylinder operated according to input signal from a push button. CONSTITUTION: An automatic tightening device of a turnbuckle comprises a main plate(31), a screw shaft(44), a turnbuckle fixing bracket(50), an air cylinder(52), a turnbuckle sliding guide(30), and a control unit. The turnbuckle fixing bracket(50) supports the upper end of the screw shaft(44). The air cylinder(52) moves turnbuckle fixing bracket(50) by means of an operating rod(54) and a plurality of links(56,58). A guide bar(32) is vertically downward attached to the turnbuckle sliding guide(30). The guide bar(32) moves up and down along the main plate(31). The turnbuckle sliding guide(30) moves a turnbuckle(20) up and down to ascend a roof cantilevered rail(10) to a welding position while it moves up and down along the screw shaft(44) during rotation of a spindle(42). The control unit controls on/off of an impact solenoid, a clamp solenoid and the air cylinder(52) according to signals transmitted from a plurality of operating buttons, a fixed location limit switch(62), a clamp loosening limit switch(60), and an impact unlocking limit switch(64).
