PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of reducing a force to be applied to peripheral parts of fitting holes of an air bag when expanding the air bag. SOLUTION: A fitting member 20 is formed of an outside receiver member 25 formed into a rectangular parallelepiped equipment body opened in one side thereof and a nearly U-shape inside presser member 21. A nipping part 11Q of the air bag 10 formed in a rear side thereof in the expanding direction Q is put between a bottom part 26 of the outside receiver member 25 and a bottom part 22 of the inside presser member 21. Both outside parts of the nipping part 11Q are extruded out of the fitting member 20. A pair of fitting holes 11h is formed in both outsides of the nipping part 11Q, and the air bag 10 is locked for fixation by inserting a bolt 35 or the like into the fitting hole 11h at a position in a front side in the expanding direction Q close to the nipping part 11Q.
