PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger which can endure impairment due to a scattering stone, corrosion due to sticking of a liquid droplet and others and has an improved corrosion resistance, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger which has a tube 3 for circulating a medium an wherein heat exchange of the medium is effected by the heat transmitted to the tube, the tube 3 is prepared by forming a plate. The tube has a joined part 23 formed by bringing the ends of the plate into contact with each other, and brazing them and the length L2 of the joined part is made larger than the contact length L1 of the end parts of the plate before brazing.
