PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair which can easily be moved or operated even by a user whose leg force or the gripping force is weaker than a healthy person, especially, even by a person having a serious handicap such as a person having a half body paralysis. SOLUTION: This wheelchair is constituted of a wheelchair main body 1 and a driving control means 2 to perform the control of running and stopping to the wheelchair main body 1. The driving control means 2 is equipped with gripping sections 5 and 5 which can grip to or separate from respective driving wheels 3 and 3 respectively on the right and the left of the wheelchair main body 1. At the same time, between respective gripping sections 5 and 5, a removable handle 6 is bridged in a manner to be astride of a sitting location of the user on the wheelchair main body 1, and also, to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the wheelchair main body 1. In this case, the removable handle 6 is equipped with operating sections 7 and 38 which can perform the control of the gripping or the separation to/from respective driving wheels 3 and 3 by respective gripping sections 5 and 5 simultaneously for the right and the left.
