Agents for ameliorating carbonyl stress which comprise cysteamine. These agents are usable as drugs directly acting on carbonyl stress by bringing into contact with blood or a dialysate during hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. These agents, which can be administered via the oral route etc., are also usable as drugs directly acting on carbonyl stress <i>in vivo</i>. |
