PURPOSE: A seat belt mounting structure of three parts type is provided to enhance passenger's safety by causing one end of a belt to be pulled by a retractor while the belt is wound into the retractor upon occurrence of a head-on collision or a rear-end collision. CONSTITUTION: A seat belt mounting structure comprises a retractor(10), a D-shaped ring and a buckle portion. The retractor(10) is fixed to a vehicle body and has a belt(11) wound thereinto while it is resiliently supported. The D-shaped ring guides the belt(11). The buckle portion is fixed to the vehicle body such that it is located at the opposite side of the retractor(10). The belt(11) is provided at its free end with a connecting portion(13). The belt(11) is configured such that the connecting portion(13) of the belt(11) is connected to a pretensioner operating portion of the retractor(10) by means of wires.
