PURPOSE: A shape of a ring gap is changed to block combustion gas leaked from the ring gap, to prevent abnormal temperature rising of a piston and cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION: A piston ring(30) has two circular ring(31, 33). A ring gap(32, 34) formed in the circular ring are connected with a connection portion(35). The ring gaps are crossed each other connecting by the connecting portion, thereby reducing leakage of combustion gas.
