PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enabling warm-up by thermal radiation even for optical transparent manufactured goods over a wide IR wavelength region. SOLUTION: In the method of heating the manufactured goods, particularly optical elements, for example, lenses, more particularly the lens 3 consisting of a calcium fluoride material optically transparent over the wavelength region longer than about 9μm, the CaF2 lens 3 begins to absorb the beam 2 of the region from 9 to 12μm when the lens is heated by a 102 laser 1 emitting a beam of the wavelength ofλ=10.6μm by which the conversion to heat is induced. Consequently, the lens 3 is gradually controlled and heated up to 160 deg.C.
