The machine for wrapping a group of articles with film (2) also applies a tear strip (6a). This is fed over rollers (13, 14) attached to a frame (4) at right angles to the film. A cutter (17) mounted on the frame cuts the strip into sections. Each section is then pressed on to the film at the desired position by a press (22).
