PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film roll wrapping body effective for producing a DVC tape with high productivity even when the polyester film wound in a roll is long or the polyester film wound in the roll is used in a humid season, namely from the rainy season to the summer season. SOLUTION: This polyester film roll wrapping body for the magnetic recording medium produced by wrapping the polyester film roll is constituted by the polyester film roll for the magnetic recording medium, which is wound around a cylindrical core; a cover film A wound around the polyester film roll so as to cover the whole width of the polyester film roll thereof; a dehumidification agent B provided thereon in an amount of 150 g or more per 10,000 m2 of a winding area of the polyester film and exhibiting the dehumidification efficiency of 60% ore more (the dehumidification efficiency after one day under the temperature 40 deg.C and 90% RH atmosphere); and a film tube C for covering whole of the outer periphery by banding both ends thereof and exhibiting a lower water vapor permeability than the cover film A.
