PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component measuring device for molten metal capable of constantly providing a stable measuring plane irrespective of molten metal bulk conditions and accurately and quickly measuring components of a molten metal without contact by using the measuring plane. SOLUTION: This component measuring device is provided with a probe 10 dipped in the molten metal L and holding the molten metal inside, a measuring plane forming means 20 continuously feeding gas of a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure from above toward a surface of the molten metal L inside the probe 10, discharging the gas outside the probe, and forming the measuring plane on the surface of the molten metal inside the probe 10, and a measuring means 30 irradiating light containing a wavelength for component measurement on the measuring plane S through the probe 10 and measuring concentrations of predetermined components on the basis of reflected light.
