LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY INCLUDING SOLAR CELL

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display including a solar cell is provided to use a liquid crystal display as a power generator by integrating a solar cell into the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display is constructed in a manner that liquid crystal is filled between a pair of substrates facing each other and sealed up. The liquid crystal display further includes a solar cell(B). The solar cell is formed on a lower substrate after TFTs are formed on the lower substrate. The solar cell and the TFTs are simultaneously formed by a polysilicon process. The solar cell is formed on an upper substrate on which a color filter is formed. The solar cell is formed on a region of the upper substrate other than pixel regions.
