<p>Lighting apparatus having a light source, a diffusive/reflective layer located in front of the light source arranged to diffusely reflect and transmit light from the light source, and a differential transmitter located on the opposite side of the diffusive/reflective layer to the light source for controlling the transmission of the light passed through the diffusive/reflective layer. The differential transmitter is preferably in the form of a reflective pattern deposited on a substrate, for example on the rear surface of the diffusive/reflective layer.</p> |
