TELOMERASE IMMORTALIZED HUMAN LIVER CELL LINES

The present disclosure relates to long term multiplication and permanent establishment of cell lines using telomerase. In specific examples, the immortalized cell lines are from human liver epithelial cells (hepatocytes). The described cell lines are capable of mitotically proliferating and continuously growing in vitro under suitable environmental conditions in suitable culture media. Methods of producing such immortalized cell lines are also described. Also provided are methods of using the immortalized cell lines.
