PURPOSE: An oil supply apparatus is provided to supply oil of proper amount to friction elements of an engine by keeping oil in an oil pan, and to easily install an oil supply apparatus by using an auxiliary oil tank. CONSTITUTION: An oil supply apparatus comprises a housing(3) formed in an oil pan(1) and having many through holes(2), a float(4) installed in the housing and moving upward and downward depending on the change of the surface of oil, a contact point(5) formed on each upper face of the housing and the float and supplying the voltage of a battery to an oil pump(9) when the float is moved to the uppermost position, an auxiliary oil tank(6) for storing oil and installed higher than the oil pan, an oil supply pipe(7) for connecting the auxiliary oil tank with the oil pan and supplying oil to the oil pan from the auxiliary tank when the float is lowered, an oil feedback pipe(8) for connecting the auxiliary oil tank with the oil pan, and the oil pump for returning the oil in the oil pan to the auxiliary oil tank. Therefore, uniform amount of oil remains in the oil pan.
