METHOD OF DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF PULSE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING COUNTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting abnormality of pulse for a continuous casting counter caused by defects of a pulse generator installed on a pinch roll, particularly for a counter use, a pulse generator for its backup use and their pulse insulated amplifiers. SOLUTION: The pulses which are outputted from the pulse generator installed on a middle stage pinch roll driving motor and another generator for its backup use installed on an upper/lower stage pinch rolls driving motor and are inputted to a control device through their pulse insulated amplifiers, are converted to the counter values by the program of the control device. The detection method is characterized by obtaining an average of respective counter values, always comparing them with the average value and detecting pulse abnormality when the difference between the counter and average values exceeds a set allowable error.
