The hose has a glass fibre bundle (1), a tightly woven, inner glass fibre hose (2) enveloping the bundle, a flexible polymer coating (3) with rubber-elastic properties on the hose and a tightly woven outer glass fibre hose (4) enclosing the polymer coating. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a strengthened, pressure-tight hose.
