<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file distributing method which can reduce the traffic of the whole network by decreasing responses from receiving stations. SOLUTION: A file distributing method which distributes a file from a transmitting station 1 to more than one receiving station 2 through a network 3 has a 1st step (14, 16) where the file is divided into plural data blocks and those data blocks are given order numbers and sent from the transmitting station 1, a 2nd step (18) where after the data blocks of one file are transmitted at the 1st step, a retransmission request from the receiving station 2 is accepted, and a 3rd step (22) where when the retransmission request is made at the 2nd step, a requested data block is resent from the transmitting station 1 according to its order number.</p> |
