An image output processor (50) reads data from a shadow memory (36) and an on screen display (OSD) memory (32), and provides the read data to a graphic display unit (7). The shadow memory selectively stores multimedia image data received at a service request of a mobile terminal, or text data and background image data provided for display service of the mobile terminal. The OSD memory stores the text data and the background screen image data. An independent claim is also included for a screen displaying method for mobile communication terminal.
