Sandwich array of different hot melt fibres extruded to combination tool

A hot melt spinning head simultaneously extrudes and combines a number of fibres of different materials. The spinning head has a pair of outer feed units sandwiching a single feed unit. The three units are linked by a cross-piece and discharge through a sandwich block array of diverging passages. The passages discharge filament threads into a common thread capture tool which combines the filaments into a single multi-component thread. Each extrusion passage diverges from its inlet to outlet. The extrusion array processes two or more different types of hot melt extrusion material.
