PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stairway baseboard easily constructed, having excellent appearance, easily detached and recyclable. SOLUTION: This stairway baseboard is provided with a baseboard body member 21 and a plurality of fit-in members 22, 23. The baseboard body member 21 has a serrated cutout part formed at the lower edge following the shape of both side edges of treads 11 and risers 12 so as to hide a clearance between a wall surface W and both side edges of plural sets of treads 11 and risers 12 constituting a stairway 10. The baseboard body member 21 is mounted along the wall surface W so as to form a space H between the baseboard body member 21 and both side edges of the tread 11 and riser 12. The fit-in members 22, 23 are detachably fitted in to cover the space H.
