PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water base ball point ink composition which has a stable ink viscosity even in a long-term storage and can prevent the settling of a colorant, or the like, and can prevent the burring of writing and the impossibility of writing due to the settling of the colorant, or the like, to a pen point when made into a ball point pen and thereafter left to stand the pen point downwardly. SOLUTION: This water base ball point ink composition comprises at least a colorant such as a dye and a pigment, an ionic polysaccharide, a smectite based clay, water, and a water-soluble organic solvent. |
