PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working device using a grinding rope capable of silently and safely working a grinding object which is a concrete made or asphalt made structure and shortening a period of construction by carrying out work in a short period of time even at a narrow site and a working engineering method. SOLUTION: The work is carried out by using the grinding rope A made of a metal rope 10 having flexibility and edge bodies 30, installed all over overall length of the rope 10 and with abrasive grains W fastened on outer surfaces of spiral edge main bodies 20. At this time, the work is carried out by inserting the grinding rope A in a through hole drilled on the grinding object which is the concrete made or asphalt made structure, winding it around this grinding object, winding it around a plural number of pulleys and driving the grinding rope A by the driving pulleys while giving tensile force.
