PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydroxy-containing salt such as hydroxylamine at a good efficiency by electrodialyzing an aqueous solution of a salt as a starting material such as an aqueous hydroxylamine sulfate solution. SOLUTION: This method is one for producing a hydroxy-containing salt and comprises electrodialyzing a salt as a starting material by using a dialyzer constituted by partitioning the space between an anode and a cathode by arranging a bipolar membrane and an anion exchange membrane or both an anion exchange membrane and a cation exchange membrane in a manner that the surface comprising the anion exchanger layer of the bipolar membrane faces the anode and that membranes of the same type do not adjoin to each other to thereby interpose an intermediate region having at least one repeating unit essentially composed of one hydrogen ion generation chamber that generates hydrogen ions and partitioned with the bipolar membrane on the anode side and one hydroxide ion generation chamber that generates hydroxide ions and partitioned with another bipolar membrane on the cathode side between the anode chamber and the cathode chamber. The electrodialysis is conducted while the pH of in the hydrogen ion generation chamber is adjusted at 0.3 or above.
