The hydraulic machine has an external gearwheel (14) rotating and orbiting in an internal gear ring (12). A valve assembly (17) is installed inside the gearwheel. The gearwheel in its interior is divided into a first and second section, whereby a shaft connected and torsionally fixed to the gearwheel fits in the gearwheel in the first section and the valve assembly is located in the second section. The first section of the gearwheel is longer in the axial direction than the second section.
