PURPOSE: To provide a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery which is high in a capacity and excellent in a cycle property and thermal stability. CONSTITUTION: The positive electrode material for the lithium secondary battery is a lamellar compound expressed by formula LiXNi1-a-b-c-dCoaM1bM2cM3dO2. M1, M2 and M3 are selected from Ti, Mg, B or Al, x, a, b, c and d meet following conditions, x is 1.0-1.2, a is 0.1-0.3, b is 0.005-0.1, c is 0.005-0.1, d is 0.005-0.1. The sum of a, b, c and d is 0.115-0.4. |
